Usually worrying about the unpredictable weather, but now we’re stuck inside, with not much to do. Use this opportunity to be productive. Think about your personal style, wardrobe and the season ahead, is there anything you’d like to change? There’s always room for improvement in all aspects of life. As we say goodbye to winter and hello to spring, it’s the perfect time to speak about transitional pieces.
Cardigans
A must-have transitional piece in any wardrobe as layering is the key to successful styling. A piece that holds elegance, can adapt to various personal styles and makes any outfit look effortlessly put together. With many options to choose from, which one speaks to you the most? The classic longline in neutral hues, cropped silhouettes in pastel tones or chunky knits in neon.
Wide Leg Pants
My favourite type of pants, they flatter my figure and are extremely comfortable. I have wide-leg pants in an array of colours, patterns and textures. When it comes to styling, it’s a balancing act. Opt for cropped silhouettes, bardots or tighter fits as you don’t want to drown in all the clothing.
Blazers
A timeless item that can be styled in a multitude of ways. Elevating an outfit instantly, from a little black dress to joggers and t-shirt combination. Show your personality through playful patterns or keep it chic in a neutral tone. Oversized silhouettes allow comfortability, movement and depending on length, the possibility of being worn as a dress,
Jumpsuits
On days you’re in a rush, reach for your jumpsuit. Easily styled since it’s a one piece. They can work for many occasions, brunch with the girls, a dinner date or a family party. Simply throw a jacket, watch and shoes together, then proceed to own your event.
Midi Dresses
Mainly due to their length, midi dresses are a great way of easing into a new season. Have fun in spring by pairing it with a denim jacket and trainers (daytime) or chunky heels (night- time). Autumn, on the other hand, calls for cosiness in a teddy jacket, tights, black boots and a waist belt.
Mules
Comfortable, chic and a crossover between boots and sandals. Choose from a range of styles, flat, block heels or a strappy option. Pointed toe shoes have an air of sophistication around them, whereas strappy options are playful like the summer sun.

Oh I so needed this! There’s definitely a few key pieces i’m missing in my wardrobe, a jumpsuit is one of them. Trying to find the right one for my body shape i find so difficult, hopefully if I keep looking I’ll eventually stumble upon one!

I love my cardigans; I have three in various colors and suited to different seasons, but I cannot get enough of midi dresses! My favorite one is a kind of batik print in yellow and pink and purple; I feel like a sunrise wearing it and one of the best things about finding clothes is feeling good in them. 🙂
Yes! I totally agree with you 😀

One of my exes took off with my blazer several years ago and I have yet to replace it. It fit me perfectly and went with just about everything. I really need to go on the hunt for a new one soon.
Haha, I am so sorry, Shana! I hate it when people do not return my clothes. I hope you find your blazer soon 😛

The weather almost blends together where I stay so we usually always have flexible pieces of clothing, so we can style for any weather. Cardigans are a must!

I have no idea what transitional pieces are meant to be, the only thing different between my winter and spring/summer clothes is the switch to wearing shorts sometimes
Shorts are the best, aren’t they? 😀
